Raúl is Partner and co-leader of the Mining practice at the firm. He is recognized as a key player in the sector due to his outstanding career and his extensive national and international experience. The combination of his specialty in Mining Law and his corporate, insurance, tax, regulatory, bankruptcy and restructuring, and real estate and construction practice area experience allows him to provide comprehensive advice to our clients in the mining sector.

Raúl formerly was in-house counsel at Rio Tinto giving direct assistance in corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, including certain mining-tax, finance issues, infrastructure planning and governmental affairs.

Raúl is a regular speaker at local and international events and an expert consultant for the media on current and trending topics in the mining sector.
